Wellness Incentive
- Preventive care is essential to your health.
- To encourage this, Lhoist North America provides a premium incentive when you complete an annual physical with a primary care physician (PCP).
- You may complete your annual physical in person with your PCP or virtually via Teladoc.
- The Teladoc virtual option can be accessed at teladoc.com/bcbstx or 800-835-2362.
- Your individual results are confidential.
- Lhoist North America does not have access to this private health information.
- As a new hire, you will receive the wellness incentive for the current plan year.
- In order to receive the wellness incentive for the following year, you must complete the wellness requirements moving forward.
- You could also be eligible for other incentives.
- Employees who are unable to meet the requirements for this wellness incentive might qualify for an alternate opportunity (or their physician may recommend one) that would allow them to qualify for the reduced medical premium.

Tobacco User Surcharge
- Lhoist North America has a tobacco user surcharge to help control employee medical premium costs.
- To avoid the 2027 tobacco surcharge of $600 per year, you must complete the tobacco affidavit in Workday during the annual benefits open enrollment period.
- If you are a tobacco user, you can still avoid the surcharge by completing the Tobacco Cessation program offered through BCBS.
